Pace and Types of Bike
Pace is at the slowest rider – these are social rides NOT training rides
We usually have a coffee shop break midway. DO NOT worry about holding anyone back, members are happy to wait up and drop back to encourage you along. We were all newbies once we understand and enjoy helping others get better.
Most people ride Road, Cyclocross, Gravel bikes and Hybrids as they are easier on the road. However you can join us on any bike, just bear in mind that other types of bike will make it harder.
We have a few tried and tested routes around Durham but constantly seek to mix them up and try out new ones. Most routes are 30 to 40 miles.

NOTE – We used to ride out from Durham School and then the Rowing Club so don’t let that confuse you
Try us for 3
We urge you to come along to our social evenings and try a couple of club runs before you join to make sure its for you. We do ask that once you have participated in 3 club runs that you join up to participate and any further
