From Sniperley we will travel south along the cycle path next to the A167 At Toll House Road we will travel down the road for a short distance before turning L at Baxter’s Wood We will travel through the farmyard turning R onto the Lanchester Valley Railway Walk. At Langley Park we will return to Sniperley via the cycle path next to the A691 The ride is 8 miles at approx. 8mph. There are some hills and an average assent of 500ft. Please bring a bike in working order and a spare inner tube. Please ensure that your brakes are working and you are able to carry out an emergency stop if required! Following the ride there will be refreshments and cakes available for sale in the Park and Ride building an opportunity to meet members of Durham City Velo. From 5.30 – 6.30 there is a coaching session which you would be welcome to join. Coaching is for all levels and abilities and covers more effective use of gears, hand signals, group riding and other skills
