Dear Member,
In a message to members on April 4th the new Board of Cycling Ireland committed to undertaking a root and branch review of the structures and governance of the organisation to ensure that these best serve our sport, our members, our clubs, our fans and the wider cycling community.
To this end, we want to hear directly from the Irish cycling community and specifically those who volunteer their time and efforts to organise our sport.
We are seeking expressions of interest to attend the first in-person strategic level consultation at a County Dublin Hotel (details to follow) from 09.30-16.30 on Saturday May 21. This session will be the first of a series of opportunities to contribute to the consultation and review and will focus on our organisational structures and process including our Commissions and board sub-committees.
To facilitate a productive session, the number of participants will need to be limited to 50 and these will be selected from the expressions of interest based on criteria to ensure diversity and representation across all aspects of the organization.
The session will be facilitated by Steve Griffiths of GClass, an expert in sports development and governance.
If you are interested in attending you can register your interest here by close of business on May 5th.
We look forward to hearing from you.
