2022 Road National Series
The 2022 Road National Series gets underway on Sunday, March 20th in Carlow hosted by Carlow Road Cycling Club.
The Road National Series is Ireland's premier domestic road racing series for men and women. Following a successful series for juniors in 2021, the 2022 edition of the Junior National Series will follow the same format as the senior series, consisting of 5-rounds. Separate races for juniors will take place unless numbers are not sufficient.
The opening round is 67km for junior women and 100km for junior men. Senior men (A1/2) will race over a testing 133km course while senior women will take on a 67km course. A full competition licence in required to compete.
In particular, Cycling Ireland is encouraging women and junior riders, to register and enjoy the racing opportunity. Prizes are awarded to the top finishers at the end of the series. The junior series provides young riders with an opportunity to hone their bike racing skills while having fun with their peers.
