Club Run Leaders Needed – Team required

As the club gets busier Ive found I cant make it to all of the club runs (In fact im struggling to even get out on my bike)

SO we need to build a pool of DCV Member Club Run leaders for our Saturday Social Rides and need someone to run the team.

Please volunteer for the rolls below

Ride Leader Team manager Roll

This is one individual who can take on the finding of a ride leader each week publish the ride on Facebook and the Website ( I will give you instruction and support on this)

You DO NOT have to go on all (or even any) of the club runs, you just need to manage the ride leaders and the publishing of the details preferably by no later than the Wednesday proceeding the run.

Ride Leader Roll

You will need to know the route you are going on – preferably a route of around 40 mile without too much climbing and with a cafe in the middle. Preferably you will be able to use www.plotaroute.com to map out the route for the manager to publish with the event (I can show you how to do this – its pretty straight forward)

You will need to brief the riders before the run at the meeting point on Club run etiquette, the route and safety ( I can work with the group to build briefing notes so you all give the same briefing)

If you could give the manager your availability then its it would make it easier to plan

The more leaders we have the better to share out the runs.

I hated cancelling the run this week as its never happened before (except for weather) so we need to do something about it. These social club runs are the backbone of the club and if we don’t get these sorted they are in danger.

Please get in touch with me via the details here
