Youth Coaching moved to avoid Easter weekend

We have decided to move the Youth Coaching session due to take place on April 16th to April 23rd to avoid Easter bank holiday weekend.

We try to make the coaching sessions the firs t and third Sunday of the month unless they clash with something.

Session on April 2nd is unaffected

Pearl Izumi Tour May 27th – Want to ride the circuit?

Following the success of last year we have once again been asked if we want to do a couple of laps of the pro circuit ahead of the Tour Series race in Durham city.

Different to last year in that its a Saturday night and the laps will be just before the pros jump onto the circuit.

Unfortunately I'm away drag racing so if we want to do it it needs someone to head it up.

I did most of the hard work last year so its not a big job.

Who wants to head it up?

If no one steps up by the 26th March I will say we cant do it.

Details from Mike at the Council

1500 HOURS TO 1615 HOURS:

· 1500: University race, Durham verses opposition as Durham UNI can attract , 1 warm up lap and 3 race laps.

· 1530: Blue light race, Police v Fire Service – will try to attract NEAS also 1 warm up lap and 3 race laps.

· 1600: Club Procession Ride, Durham City Velo, Hetton hawks, Bishop Auckland Cycle Club, plus potential for others, 15 to 20 minute exhibition ride of all clubs together setting off in a slight stagger under club coach supervision and guidance – no racing

Additionally, there is an opportunity once again to help promote the Tour and your clubs on Saturday 13 May again in Durham Market Place, if you could let me know if you be interested in that I will sort it out with and for you.
