What cycling discipline are you involved in?
In order of preference - Road, Track, Cyclo-Cross and occasionally trail center Mountain Biking
What age did you get involved?
I started riding my bike when I was 4 years old and have been racing since I was 6 years old
Why did you start cycling?
My dad used to race and still cycles. I enjoyed a few family cycles and then started doing some trail centers and then started racing Under 8 Cyclo-Cross and MTB races.
What has been your involvement in cycling, your story?
I started racing Cyclo-Cross and MTB when I was 6 and have enjoyed it. When I was 10 I got my first road bike and also started road racing and track racing. I enjoy all disciplines of cycling and even enjoy riding my unicycle.

What have been your cycling highlights?
I have several highlights from cycling including:
• Cycling up Slieve Croob, Dromara Hills to watch a spring sunrise. We left the house at 4.45am arriving for sunrise at 5.45am. I was tired that evening!
• Cycling over 100 miles (160 Km) with my local club - it was a perfect day with light winds, warm temperatures and sunny skies.
• Winning Bronze Medal at 2021 National Youth Road Race Championships in Gorey. The weather was horrendous with torrential downpours!
How do you feel cycling has benefitted you?
I have made friends with girls from every corner of Ireland and even though we are all rivals we have good fun.
Cycling also keeps me fit and healthy and lets me visit different parts of the country and beyond.
What is your favourite thing about cycling?
Being able to explore different parts of the country and take part in various races throughout Ireland.
What would you say to other females who may be interested in cycling?
Give it a go and enjoy it. There are plenty of other females who will encourage and help you as much as possible.
How do you feel about becoming an Advocate?
I am very proud and excited to become an Advocate and I hope I can encourage and support other females to take up and enjoy cycling.
