Cycling Ireland Hall of Fame Nominations 2023
The Cycling Ireland Hall of Fame honours members and past members who have made a significant contribution to cycling in Ireland. The current Hall of Fame can be seen here.
A maximum of three new inductees is considered every three years and, in line with this cycle, Cycling Ireland is inviting nominations from individual members for 2023.
The criteria for a nomination are:
- Nomination is open for living or deceased persons.
- Nominees must have made a significantly important impact on cycling in Ireland (which may include sporting, administrative and other impact).
Nominations should be forwarded by email to secretary@cyclingireland.ie with the subject heading ‘Hall of Fame Nomination’ and should include a brief citation outlining why the nominee is deserving of induction into the Hall of Fame.
Nominations will close on 30th July.
All nominations will then be reviewed by a shortlisting panel comprised of representatives of the four Provincial Executives and a Board member (it will not include anyone who is nominated and who would accept the nomination). The shortlisting panel will propose six options to the Board of Cycling Ireland who will then select the final three for induction to the Hall of Fame for 2023.
Members of our organization make a significant impact on cycling in Ireland in very diverse ways and we look forward to nominations reflecting that diversity.
