Cycling Ireland And Cyql Launch Pilot Programme
Cycling Ireland and Cyql have launched a pilot programme with Irish cycling clubs given access to the application for the remainder of 2023.
The fast-growing platform helps clubs worldwide get cyclists cycling more, together and safely as a centralised communications platform for clubs to organise rides.
Cyql ensures that coordination prior to bike rides is moved to the Cyql application and avoids unnecessary disruption to members on other apps.
By providing more clarity in advance of a bike ride, Cyql contributes to safer cycling conditions. The app is available for Android and iOS.
The application will be available for all Cycling Ireland clubs for the remainder of this year, and feedback from the pilot programme will help Cyql make adjustments to the application.
Wouter Slotegraaf, co-founder of Cyql, said:

We understand that managing a club is time-consuming for volunteers, and through this pilot with Cyql, we hope to alleviate the administrative burden for club officials. One of the major benefits of the app is that it allows clubs to manage club cycles, display routes, upload GPX files, assign ride leaders, and control the size of groups on the road, track or trail. This can help prevent incidents and accidents. Clubs can also use the app to promote the social aspect of cycling as members can share messages and images with each other."
