2023 Rás na mBan Entries Open
Lara Gillespie celebrates winning a stage of the 2022 Rás na mBan
Entries for Rás na mBan 2023 have now opened with teams and administrative staff ramping up plans for the 17th edition of Ireland's international stage race.
For a seventh year, Rás na mBan will be based in the beautiful medieval city of Kilkenny in Ireland’s Ancient East where it will run for five days beginning on Wednesday September 6th.
Race organisers have already received an increase in team enquiries from at home and abroad this year with many teams already confirming their intention to make the trip to Kilkenny.
Deputy Race Director Ronan Fox said:
"It's great to have so many teams, many new and a great number who have been to the race in the past, show interest in taking on the event. We have some exciting new stages for the riders to tackle and it's been gratifying to discuss race plans with teams and riders from all over the world in the past few months. The entry system is pretty straightforward and we're looking forward to having another high quality bunch assembling in Kilkenny on September 6th."
Entries are open until August 11th for teams only, the event is not open to individuals. It is for teams of five riders representing teams or clubs registered with national associations affiliated to the UCI, national teams, regional squads and composite teams.
Teams can be registered and rider names added at a later date. Team managers can add their specific team name to the system after which they, or team riders, can add up to five riders to the roster.
Team officials are asked to ensure that they use the same team name for each rider added to the squad and avoid team duplication.
Rider names can be changed after entry and before the final rider confirmation date on September 5th.
Entries are open here.
