BMX National Series Round Two Preview

The BMX National Series continues this weekend with round two taking place on Sunday, May 21st.
Lisburn BMX Club will host the second round after the series kicked off last month with Lucan BMX Club hosting the first round.
In what proved a great occasion for all involved, excitement is growing for the second round of the National Series.
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of round two:
Round One Recap
The BMX National Series got off to a flying start on Sunday, April 16th, as Lucan BMX Club hosted the opening round.
137 riders across several age categories from under-6s to masters (30+) took to the line as the fine weather ensured perfect conditions for racing.
The first major event of the 2023 BMX calendar, organisers were delighted to welcome several newcomers to the sport competing in their first event.
With entries strong across the board, the male youth categories of 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12 boasted the biggest fields of the day.

Schedule
Saturday, May 20th
10am - 4pm Track open for practice.
Sunday, May 21st
10am - Grounds open, sign on/registration opens.
11am - 11.45am - Track opens for practice.
11.45am - 12.15pm - Gate practice for U13s.
12.15pm - 12.45pm - Gate practice for over 13s.
1pm - Racing starts.
Balance bike race to take place after third moto and final race.
Prize giving to take place after finals.
