Ireland Junior Development Team Named For Rás Mumhan
Cycling Ireland have named the Ireland Junior Development Team to race in the Rás Mumhan from Friday, April 7th, to Monday, April 10th.
Six riders make up the selection for the stage race, which returns to the challenging and scenic roads of Cork and Kerry over Easter weekend, with National Junior Coach Martin O’Loughlin to lead the team as sports director.
After strong performances in the 2022 edition in the race that saw the team take a stage win and the points jersey, O’Loughlin believes the team can once again compete with some of the country’s top elite riders.
O'Loughlin said:
"Following last year's excellent performances which saw Niall McLoughlin with a stage win and a second place plus winning the points jersey, this team can look with optimism that they can mix it with the best elite riders. With a mix of three J1s and three J2s, our team has a good balance and we can't wait for Rás Mumhan."
