Women's Coaching Pathway 2022/2023 Concludes
The Women’s Coaching Pathway 2022/2023, an exciting collaborative programme between Athletics Ireland, Cycling Ireland, Irish Athletic Boxing Association (IABA), Rowing Ireland and Triathlon Ireland, concluded over the weekend.
The programme was launched in 2020 and gives females the opportunity to improve their knowledge, expand their network and develop leadership and coaching skills in a supported, collaborative environment.
It has been successful in progressing coaches along the pathway and participants reported increased confidence, understanding of their coaching style and feeling part of a support network.
The programme offered coaches a trained mentor as well as a host of multi-sport networking opportunities and six coaches per sport were selected for the programme.
Women's Coaching Pathway participant Elaine Watters said:
"The Coaching Pathway has given me confidence going forward as a coach. Helping me to realize my values & strengths. It was a fantastic opportunity to get to know many other coaches and grow my network. I look forward to using my new knowledge in my sport, professional and personal life."
