Katie-George Dunlevy And Eve McCrystal Nominated For Team Of The Year At RTE Sport Awards



Irish Paracycling duo Katie-George Dunlevy and Eve McCrystal have been nominated for the Team of the Year award at this year's RTE Sports Awards.


The tandem team won the same award in 2021 after their three medal haul at the Tokyo Paralympics saw them crowned double Paralympic champions.


It's been another successful season for the pair as they were back amongst the medals at the Paracycling Road World Championships in August, winning a gold medal as well as silver.


They soloed to victory in the women's tandem road race, earning their sixth world title, after already claiming a silver medal in the women's tandem time trial in Baie-Comeau.


The RTE Sports Awards will be broadcast live on Saturday, December 17th.  


The awards set to be handed out on the night include RTÉ Sport Sportsperson of the Year, RTÉ Sport Team of the Year, RTÉ Sport Manager of the Year and RTÉ Sport Young Sportsperson of the Year.


Fellow Team Ireland rider Ronan Grimes has also been nominated for Sportsperson Of The Year.
