UCI Cyclocross World Cup Dublin Fan Guide




Excitement is building ahead of the first-ever UCI Cyclocross World Cup stage to be hosted in Ireland on December 11th.


The best in the world will take on a special purpose-built course in the Sport Ireland Campus in Blanchardstown, Dublin.


With exceptionally strong demand for tickets, it’s set to be a brilliant occasion for all ages to attend and enjoy an action-packed day of racing.


Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the UCI Cyclocross World Cup in Dublin:


TICKETS

Adult tickets will cost €15 in online presale until December 10th and are available to buy here.

Tickets will be available on the day for €18. 

Children under the age of 12 years old can attend free of charge without the need for a ticket, an I.D. for proof of age may be required.

The start lists for the Cyclocross World Cup races have been published here.


Team Jumbo Visma rider Wout Van Aert has confirmed his Cyclo-cross programme for the remainder of the year, with the Dublin stage included in his schedule for the rest of the year. 


Van Aert is one of Cycling and Cyclocross’ brightest lights and has been in flying form over the past year, winning a remarkable nine of his ten Cyclocross events last winter. 


A prolific road cyclist, the Belgian comfortably won the Tour de France points classification along with three stages over the summer. 


World Champion Tom Pidcock has also joined the list of high-profile names on the start line.


One of cycling’s rising stars, the 23-year-old is Olympic champion in cross country mountain biking and won a stage at the 2022 Tour de France.


Pidcock and Van Aert are expected to be right at the forefront of the action on December 11th in a star-studded line-up in Dublin. 


In the elite Women’s race, an array of talented riders is set to descend on Dublin. Series leader Fem Van Empel of the Netherlands will be looking to extend her advantage over compatriot Puck Piterse. Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado has scored consistently throughout the series lying in third place after seven rounds and is also expected to line up in Dublin.

SPECTATOR PARKING

Spectators will have access to parking at the M3 Parkway Dunboyne (15mins).


Please note that there will be no available parking for spectators on the Sport Ireland Campus for the event. A free shuttle bus service will be available for drop off & collection from the Sport Ireland Campus for the duration of the event for ticket holders availing of the external carparking facilities.


Disability parking is available on the Sport Ireland Campus and is located at the FAI building.


BIKE PARKING

Bicycle parking facilities will be available on the Sport Ireland Campus. Fans are encouraged to cycle or walk to the event.


CAMPERVAN PARKING

There will be limited availability for camper parking on the Sport Ireland Campus for the event.

For those with VIP Tickets, parking is available at the Sport Ireland Campus Conference Centre.


PUBLIC TRANSPORT OPTIONS

By Bus

1.  38 or 38A - from O'Connell Street/ Hawkins Street in the City Centre to Snugborough Road in Blanchardstown.  

2. N4 – from POINT VILLAGE to Snugborough Road

3. 40D – to Rosemount Business Park

By Train

Maynooth service from Connolly to Maynooth stops at Castleknock train station.

FAN ZONE

There will be a Fan Zone area located right beside the Cyclo-cross World Cup course with music and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.


Flanders Classics, Sport Ireland Campus and Cycling Ireland can confirm there will be no alcohol sold at the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup Dublin on Sunday, December 11th.


The Sport Ireland Campus was confirmed as host venue in late September, and it has not been possible to obtain the licence in the limited time frame available.


However, there will be a food and beverage offering in locations across the campus for the duration of the event.


Skill Zone: A Skill Zone will offer children a chance to practice their cycling skills under the tutelage of Cycling Ireland coaches. Bikes and helmets suitable for children under 12 years old will be provided.


FOOD & BEVERAGES

There will be a food & beverage offering in locations across the Sport Ireland Campus for the duration of the event.
